The special competition - the Shithousepaper Challenge

It all started on Facebook when Thomas Laggner from BSC Holzmichl, among others, asked Henry Bodnik to take part in an archery challenge, but something completely different and quite fun - they called it, "The Shithousepaper Challenge!"

In this shithousepaper challenge, three shots were to be taken at 5, 7, and 10 meters. Then, in a scoring system that is similar to what we use in our kill tournaments, the shooter would only score points when their arrows landed in the center of the inner cavity of the toilet paper roll. Any hits in the actual toilet paper resulted in points taken away from the shooters.

Henry Bodnik loved the idea of this shithousepaper challenge, and so did everyone else who heard about it, but this competition was being held during the height of the corona pandemic and everyone knew that there was an enormous scarcity of toilet paper and the thought of wasting this valuable commodity was unacceptable. So...  The idea was hatched to create a 3D target that looked like a roll of toilet paper!

When presented with the idea for this new target, Chris Unger from LongLife 3 D Targets was instantly on board and accepted this idea enthusiastically. Within a few weeks this special 3D target was a reality and became the focal point of the special shithousepaper challenge competition at the 5th Kill Tournament held in Austria.

On Saturday evening it was finally time! Now all the contestants were excited to give it all they had in an effort to 'wipe out' their competition as they battled each other in the shithousepaper challenge all fighting for the coveted prizes in the final!

Henry Bodnik drew for the various groups of 5 archers from all the registered participants, who then fought in a knockout elimination system and an immediate duel to advance to the next round up to the final.

It was astonishing to see how confident and nervous some of the women appeared as they quickly eliminated many of the male participants from the competition. Between the individual competition rounds, Henry Bodnik spiced up the whole atmosphere and entertained everyone there with his little anecdotes and sayings and was the focus of this special competition. The setting sun over the mountains and the competitive tension of the competition made for quite an enchanting evening and complimented this special place and competition.

In the end, the "shithousepaper challenge" was absolutely hot! The victory was fiercely fought for and especially in the final you could see and feel pure emotions at play. The victory and the 1st price with a free spot in the basic course in instinctive archery with Henry Bodnik went to Slovenia after a tough fight!

Robert Levstek himself, the operator of a great 3D course in Slovenia and organizer of countless 3D tournaments, secured 1st place with his horsebow and won the final and of the Shithousepaper Challenge!

Congratulations to Robert Levstek from Slovenia for this great competition and his ultimate victory in this special competition of the 5th Kill Tournament Austria
